Meet the Doctor

Dr. Karl Andersen is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and cornea specialist dedicated to providing exceptional medical and surgical eye care. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, followed by fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Andersen specializes in corneal disease, cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmology. He is fluent in medical Spanish and has contributed to research in corneal transplantation and retinal imaging.

Outside the office, Dr. Andersen enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his family.
